After reading till page 154 I would say that I can relate to the character of August Pullman, the protagonist the most. He suffered from a disease but that did not stop him from moving forward in life. He faced discrimination, bullying and was ostracized but that did not change his core. His facial deformity and people making fun of that did not turn him bitter. Rather he was able to hold on to his goodness. Even though he is a ten year old kid, he has gotten used to the stares and unwanted attention or lack of it.
